Conquer virtually any material and application thanks to the robust build and flexibility of the Carvex design.  With multiple base plates for cutting wood, wood-like materials, plastics and metals, the Carvex adapts to any application.  Simplify set-ups for angle cuts with an all new adjustable angle base (accessory) with rotary adjust and knob.  A tool free exchange system allows for quick and easy base changes.  Cut with ease adn control with unparalleled ergonomics, dual access power switch and low vibration.  Available in both a corded version that utilizes Festool's interchangeable plug-it cord and a cordless lithium ion batter powered version.

Automatic guidance system - Triple blade reinforcement with rigid support rod and carbide jaws automatically adjust to reduce blade wander and drift.  This helps to eliminate cutting errors, spoiled workpieces, or need for rework.

Tool-free base changing - Change from the standard base to the angle base quickly and easily.  Or change the baseplate inserts to protect thew ork surface or for reduced friction across work surfaces.

4-LED Stroboscopic light - Illuminate the cut line in-synch with the blade for effortless and improved visibilityfor precise cuts and less re-work.

Brushless motor technology - EC-TEC motor with full electronic controls is long-lasting and energy efficient enabling extensive cutting with reduced effort and strain.

Fastfix blade change allows for tool-free insertion that is as simple as turning a key in a lock.  Features an equally speedy blade ejection system for faster and easier blade changes...the Festool way.  MMC Electronics means increase in cut performance with remarkable control featuring variable speed, constant speed under load, thermal and overload protection and a  new automatic setting.  Corded or cordless versions of the Festool Carvex PS and PSB 400 EQ jigsaws are available.  Cordless versions can be used with all Festool slide-type batteries from 10.8 to 18 volt Lithium Ion or 12 - 15.6 volt Nickel Cadmium / Nickel Metal Hydride.  Barrel grip Festool PS 400 Carvex jigsaws feature the swivel plug it cord.  The Plug it swivel cord can be flipped up to ninety degrees for greater clearance in tight spots. An adjustable chip guard on the Festool Carvex jigsaws can be adjusted either up or down as neeeded for greater visibility or to aid in dust extraction.  Can also be removed entirely.  Variable speed trigger on D Handle Festool carvex jigsaws can be used to control the speed for tight curves and various materials.  For fixed speed control, use the on/ off switch with variable speed dial.

Dust extraction - Equipped with an anti-static removable dust port for a  cleaner work area and less mess.  Also equipped with a blower to keep a clear view of the cut line.
