QUESTIONS
Why do I need the fast stock removal mode of the Rotex sanders?

ANSWER
The Rotex sander has two sanding modes, a rotary mode and a random orbital mode. The rotary mode is gear driven and produces high torque at low rpm. It won’t bog down. It is an eccentric orbital sanding stroke so it sands out its scratch pattern. You get high material removal rate with low surface damage. The removal rate is comparable to a belt sander or angle grinder without the resultant surface damage. The result is aggressive stock removal with high surface quality and quick transition through the sanding grits. The rotary mode is also excellent for polishing. Its eccentric stroke means a hologram-free finish. Flip a switch and you have a random orbital sander. You will finish sanding sooner using the Rotex.
