Up to 1" diameter holes can be drilled into concrete, block, brick, or stone using  SDS-Plus carbide-tipped drill bits.  In the chiseling mode, the tool can be used for chiseling and chipping for leveling, surface preparation, crack chasing or imbedding, and in the rotary only mode, for drilling up to 1/2" holes into metal or 1-3/16" holes into wood with the use of an accessory chuck adaptor.  The 5.6 amp motor provides a no-load speed of 0-1,000 rpm.   
The KHE D24 incorporates Variospeed electronics for variable speed control, 12 settings for light chiseling work, a reverse feature for efficient drilling, and a die cast aluminum gearbox that allows for rapid heat dissipation and increased tool life.  A gooseneck steel depth gauge provides increased drilling depth accuracy when setting anchors. 
As with all Metabo rotary hammers, the new KHE D24 has a winding protection grid that deflects airborne debris away from armature windings, and increases motor life by up to five times in dusty environments.

The new rotary hammer features a large knob so the operator can easily change from percussion with rotation drilling to rotation only, even when wearing protective gloves.  The 360° adjustable side handle is rubber coated to maximize user comfort and control during operation.  Metabo's exclusive S-automatic safety clutch helps to protect both the operator and the new rotary hammer in the event of a bit jam.
